How Does A Hybrid OS Work?
Ok, So i saw a thread here on crackberry
My Operating System on my bold 9900 is Official OS v7.1.2061...
My Question Is If i download the ultimate hybrid OS package for my bb9900 on my OS
(v7.1.2061)
Will this Package Work?

Is there a way to make of copy of Base OS?
ok, so this is my first time trying out hybrid os. I have Blackberry 9720
But Do not Have Sufficient Data To Download A new Base OS...Because i read that before you install Hybrid you must first run the Install of you newly downloaded Base OS...Is there any way i can make an exe file out of my Base os (so that it is like when you donwlad new os from swdownloads)...Because in order to install hybrid my Base OS folder needs to be in a specific folder and i dont have that folder because i cant download and install new base os...so is there any way for me to make a folder containing my current Base OS info or make it into an exe file so that it creates the apploadr folder for my base os? And if there isnt such a thing is there an alternative way of installing Hybrid OS since the OS that came with the 9720 doesn't have a folder?

Why hybrid?
It's a serious question. Not trying to troll.
I have a Blackberry 9900 with 7.1.0.1098 (see the 9900 thread for the link on how to get the latest and greatest)
So since there is nothing newer than that from blackberry, and it's I have the blackberry that has the newest BB7 that blackberry made....then if I install a hybrid. What am I getting?
I \heard "better browser" but what does that mean.
Can someone tell me real facts not just cool graphics for the logo of the next "hybrid os" I see?

Hybrid for 9930
Just got my hands on a 9930. Haven't had one since I moved to a Q10 in June of 2013. Currently rocking the Z30 (since December of 2013), but I like using my legacy phones when I go overseas (easier on the local data plan costs).
What is the LATEST hybrid available for the 9930? I am currently on 7.1.0.1066. Is there a hybrid available that would enhance this build, and if so, can someone please send me a link?
